This morning, under overcast skies, Delycia and I walked with our valentines (each other) on a snowy trail through a forest shaded in simple grays and browns. In the photos below, the woods may seem colorless and uninspiring, but I think both of us found lots of light and simple splendor as we walked. In the almost ghostly look of the forest there was beauty of a special kind, and in the grayness among the trees there was an ashen loveliness that made us glad to be there on Valentine’s Day. 🌺
