It’s been a good day for photos and traditional haiku poems (5 syllables, then 7, then 5 again) …

like light always calls to light –
they are dearest friends

mrs sun in the distance
caring for her house

and so are all the seashells –
sunrise can do that

seashells staying around it
to help it not cry

and footsteps going somewhere –
can art feel ignored?
Here’s a poem I wrote several years ago …
ONE DAY OF NOT SHUTTING UP
One day
a woman said she was
not going to shut up.
She said life is not about shutting up,
but about showing how special life is
by sharing the sounds of thoughts
in miracles called words.
She said trees don’t shut up
but always shower her
with sounds of winds passing through,
and she will continue to spread
the sunshine of her words,
the flash and crash of her sentences.
She said life polishes itself
through her spoken words,
and life’s a musician
and her sentences are its songs.
She says her words
wash each moment,
and she hopes
we will swim with her
in the ocean of her words,
and no,
she is not shutting up
anytime soon.
