A chilly first morning of November, with winds from yesterday’s storm still seriously swaying trees and leaves. We took a walk in the cemetery after breakfast, about 35 minutes at a speedy pace for me — just over 15 minutes per mile. It was almost a frosty walk as well. I had my cap pulled over my ears and my gloves on tight for most of the 2+ miles.
We’re off tonight for two weeks on Sanibel Island, FL – 14 fortunate days filled with bike rides, beach walks shell hunting, and – as always for us – rest and reading. We feel totally blessed to be able to live so abundantly.
